Shelley Wild
Humanpreneur

“I think self-development is important, but it only gets you so far. Learning how to co-exist with others is essential to our humanness.”

Shelley equips leaders to leverage their performance, engage the power of their brain, stretch their mindset, make effective decisions under pressure and foster the conditions for the people they lead (or parent) to flourish.

“When you know better, you have the option to do better.”

“I believe human development and adult maturity is not a luxury. It is a responsibility, and we owe it to ourselves, our children and the world to advance our humanness. To be more than our potential - to actively focus on our social performance and the positive impact we can have on those around us and the world we live in.”

what others say

Shelley Wild is an accomplished consultant and educator. Her coupling of leadership and management practices with social cognitive neuroscience sets her apart from others working in the commercial, government, education and not-for-profit sectors. Her expertise involves working with both the external and ‘inner’ working of organisations, individual leaders and teams. Her approach brings with it sure-footedness helping to build sustainable and innovative organisations. As an educator, Wild’s practice exemplifies the maxim that ‘great educators do not rely on technique; real education comes from the identity and integrity of the teacher’.
— PROFESSOR JUDITH McLEAN, QUEENSLAND UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY (CREATIVE INDUSTRIES)
Shelley is an inspirational individual, devoted coach and ethical confidante. She can diagnose complex situations, gather evidence and data and team feedback to design effective solutions. During my time as CEO of Regional Development Australia (FNQ & TS Inc), Shelley was a Board Director and a constant source of support as well as using neuroscience methodologies to develop me and others around her. She is a committed leader, working tirelessly for the betterment of teams and community. Her moral position is a testament to the respect and admiration she receives from those she works with. I have no hesitation recommending Shelley for projects where she can analyse and solve problems, develop and coach people and grow communities and organisations.
— Sonja Johnson BBus, GradCert, CIACD PMP, MIML (Former CEO Regional Development Australia FNQ & TS Inc) Director iProgram and Planning, Queensland Health
Shelley was an outstanding member of the RDA FNQ & TS Inc. Board during its inaugural term. Shelley played two critical roles on the board. She was crucial in establishing the organisation from a standing start, securing its original constitution, operating policies and systems. She then played an outstanding role in welding a team culture within a very diverse range of Board members. As continuing chair of the Board, I regularly appreciate the foundation legacies Shelley left this successful organisation.
— Professor Allan Dale – Tropical Regional Development

As a mediator, she can energise all parties to a solution which exceeds all expectations. As a consultant, she can find opportunities that you don’t even know exist. Shelley is head and shoulders above any consultant that I have worked with, and I am impressed with her ability to create an environment where people believe in themselves and others. She combines passion and energy with a systematic approach that results in empowering and inspiring others. Her willingness to ‘speak from the heart’ and share her journey helps to create a safe environment where the horizon of the human spirit is stretched. She firmly believes that we can be more than we are and I am indebted to her for all she has so generously given me.
